Compass capsules

The Compass capsules have been specially developed for people who have undergone gastric bypass. During a gastric bypass, your stomach is reduced in size and part of the intestines are bypassed. This will allow you to eat less and your body to absorb fewer nutrients. Bariatric surgery is the start of a new life and a step towards a healthier lifestyle. After undergoing gastric bypass, your body does not get enough nutrients to keep you feeling fit enough without additional supplements. The Compass capsules ensure that you are still offered sufficient daily vitamins and minerals to supplement your diet after your gastric bypass.

A big advantage of Elan's Compass capsules is that the capsules themselves are one size smaller (size 0) than the similar capsules from other bariatric or WLS supplement providers (size 00). This may seem like a small difference at first glance, but this makes the Compass capsules easier to take and leads to fewer symptoms such as nausea or other stomach and/or abdominal discomfort. Given the fact that after your gastric bypass you need to continue taking a WLS / bariatric supplement daily for life in order not to develop vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies, we at Elan pay enormous attention to the tolerability of our products. Description: Multivitamins and minerals nutritional supplement
Dietary supplements are no substitute for a varied and balanced diet. The recommended daily allowance of some vitamins and minerals is exceeded in this dietary supplement.

Ingredients: Vitamins, minerals, vegetable capsule (hypromellose), choline, stabiliser (calcium stearate), colouring agent (E171, E172). The product contains no added lactose, gluten, flavours or fragrances.

Elan's Compass capsules are halal certified. 

Storage advice: Store below 25°C and in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of young children. This dietary supplement is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. 

Recommended dose: 1 Compass capsule per day, preferably to be taken before or during the evening meal. Take the capsule with a sip of water or other sugar-free drink. Should you have any problems taking the Compass capsules, for practical tips to make it easier to take the Compass capsules, see the heading 'Storage and intake' in the 'advice' menu of the Elan website. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Use only on the advice of your practitioner. When taking medication, read the leaflets carefully. In case of overdose, consult your doctor.

In the unlikely event that you forget to take your Compass capsule one day, this is not a serious problem, as long as it does not happen too often. You can continue taking your Compass capsules as usual and do not have to make up or take extra doses.  

Important: If you also take the Calcium vital swallowing tablets or Calcium Chew chewing tablets, take these at a different time from the Compass capsule. There should be at least 2 hours between taking the Calcium vital swallow tablet or Calcium Chew chew tablet and the Compass capsule, so that your body has sufficient time to absorb the iron properly.
