How do you store your Elan dietary supplements and when do you take them? You can read answers to these questions and more here. 
 

How long can Elan dietary supplements be kept?
Most of Elan's products have a shelf life of several years. The exact best-before date is printed on the packaging of the Elan products, so we like to refer to the original Elan packaging.
 

How do I store my Elan food supplements?
Elan vitamins and minerals are packed in high-quality packaging material. You can store the capsules and/or (chewable) tablets in the original Elan packaging. You should also store Elan food supplements below 25 degrees Celsius and in a dry place. Elan dietary supplements should also be kept out of the sight and reach of young children.
 

What is the best time to take a supplement?
We recommend taking supplements before or during the evening meal. A meal usually includes some fat. And fat in turn helps the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, and E). The original packaging of Elan also tells you when it is best to take the supplement in question. You can also find this information on the page of the relevant product under the tab 'Description'. 

Tips for taking Elan capsules
Below are some practical tips to make it easier to take the capsules, tablet, chewable tablet:
 

• Take capsule, tablet or chewable tablet before or during the evening meal. This way, the capsule, tablet or chewable tablet is less heavy on the stomach. 
• Do not take the capsule, tablet or Ferro vital tablet with dairy products.
• When swallowing the capsule, tablet or Ferro vital tablet, it is best to move your chin towards your chest instead of backwards.  
• Take the capsule, tablet or Ferro vital tablet with a sip of water or other sugar-free drinks.
• Moisten the capsule in your mouth to prevent the outer layer from sticking, this way the capsule will slide through more easily. 
• If necessary, take the capsule with a tablespoon of sugar-free fruit purée or other sugar-free liquid foods. 
• If you have difficulty swallowing the capsule, you can also slide the capsule open and take only the contents (in powder form) with previously mentioned foods. 
• Do not drink or eat large amounts immediately before, during or after taking the capsule, tablet or chewable tablet. This way you may avoid feeling nauseous. 
• If you continue to have problems taking the Compass, Believe or Supreme capsules or tablets, the Compass, Believe or Supreme chewable tablets may help.
